About Us

“Jamtara” one of a small district of Jharkhand state has come into existence as a district on 26th April 2001. It’s location on the earth is 23o 10’ to 24o 5’ North and 86o 30’ to 87o 15’ East. Total 7,91,042 population of the district is scattered over its total 179170ha geo-graphical area. About 537294 population are cultivating farmer and out of which 70% of cultivating farmers are fully depending on Paddy cultivation. Although, majority of the population has given first priority to rice in his food habit but even though they are very reluctant in using scientific management practices for getting optimum yield. By considering these situations, action plan of the KVK, Jamtara was being prepared & followed.
